Amanda Leesburg, founder

Amanda Leesburg is the founder of Leesburg PR, a boutique public relations company based in Atlanta, Georgia.  Amanda has spent her public relations career working directly with the media, representing clients in the entertainment, environmental, corporate and consumer industries. Through this experience she has become a local, regional and national media relations and branding specialist.  In 2007, with a personal and professional commitment to saving our planet, Amanda launched one of the first eco-friendly public relations practices in the South.  Since that time, she has assisted multiple consumer, corporate, non-profit and entertainment companies with green communications services.  High profile projects and clients have included EcoManor, the first LEED certified home in the Southeast, national eco-living experts Danny Seo, Kathleen Plate and Laura Turner Seydel, Smart Glass Jewelry, Environment Furniture, Little Me Tea, PetSafe, EcoSMART, Naturally More Peanut Butter and the Captain Planet Foundation.  In 2009, Amanda created Southern Designer Collections, a one-day media event in New York and Atlanta for southern-based sustainable fashion, footwear and accessory companies to showcase their latest collections.  A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Amanda received her B.A. in Speech Communication from The University of Southern Mississippi.

Beth Bond, co-founder

Beth Bond is best known as the Curator of Green and Sustainable Business News at Southeast Green.  As a Southerner and “Green” Business woman, Beth is dedicated to supporting all green business community members and now she can add her extensive marketing expertise to help the consumer side of the environmental conversation.  Beth serves on a variety of boards and committees in the Atlanta sustainable community. They include Steering Committee for Earth Hour 08 and 09, Co-Chairing Earth Hour in 2010 for the City of Atlanta along with sustainable business leader Derek Jacoby of the Jacoby Group, Dogwood Alliance Festival 08, Decatur Green Fest 09-10, Let's Raise a Million Power Partner, DeKalb County Green Commission, EcoCare Missions team leader for her church and selected as Champion of the Week in the Champion Newspaper in November 2009. In 2011 she joined the board at Georgia Interfaith Power and Light and is currently serving as the Education Chair of the City of Atlanta’s Electric Vehicles task force.  Bond spent her formative years in Mobile, Alabama. She graduated from Florida State University and then served in Bouza, Niger as a Peace Corps Volunteer. She is active in her community and serves on Community Council for District 3, DeKalb County. When not working to better her community, she participates in her church and otherwise can be found on the tennis courts.
